Sometimes I feel like I have 2 different children. It's hard to explain but dd (7 with AS and adhd) appears normal sometimes and then others really autisticy.

It's almost like I feel as though I don't know her at times.

Why does asd have to be so complex?

i know BH, i totally sympathise with you, i was thinking this the other day when DS tried to attack me with his golf club for being 10 mins late picking him up from my mums.

i want to be able to take DD out shopping for girlie things without her wearing her headphones or having a tantrum, i want to be able to have a conversation/joke with DS without him threating to smash my head in....................

for you and yeah, know what you mean. Only possible upside is that when it's going well I can't remember what was so bad last week, iyswim. Have you had a bad day blossomhill?

Ooo-oops!

I know exactly what you mean! Sometimes I'm thinking I'm imagining stuff, the next i'm chasing him in Ptera bird mode whilst he flaps and screeches. Its a bastard of a thing isn't it?

sm ~ yeah I did have a bad day and the thing is it hits me so hard.
Dd has and is doing so well and I get complacent and then she does something (that I can't say on here) and it hits me for 6.
I need to remind myself that it's up and down all the time.
The hardes bit is that she goes from one extreme to the other. Sometimes I just wish she was just nt (of course we all do) or autistic. Just hard to get your hand round. It's almost like I have 2 dd's at times!
PC ~ oh we get the screachy flapping a lot!
