General Help! Relocate or appeal? What would you do

My child has a rare genetic condition, we have diagnosis however as so rare and the LA and nursery struggle to understand and cutting it short we have been refused a plan. They have granted there are SPD/Autism/Hearing imparement issues and social anxiety/interaction problems as well as speech delay. I can appeal but lack the fight as I work long hours and am struggling to find anyone to come on board and help me. So I am considering relocating since the school on our doorstop is 'inadequate' by Ofsted and we've apparently fat chance of getting in anywhere else! So we live in Salisbury but I am considering Hampshire as apparently SEN is better and my OH works near Winchester so anywhere out of Salisbury that way would be a consideration. Has anyone faced similar issues or any good advice? My lo will have school next year but I need to start having things in place and it would need to be a small school due to the issues they have

Does your medical team have anyone like a community paed who can help the LA understand the diagnosis.

They have recognised quite a few issues though. do these not warrant an ehcp? can you appeal?

What's the rare genetic diagnosis? my son has.one too. mito.

From all I hear Hampshire aren't that great on SEN. However, there is probably a better range of special schools there.

Have you tried contacting SOS SEN or IPSEA about what is involved in appealing?
