I moved dd2's bed into dd1's room so I could get her used to being in there and the baby's room sorted before it got too close....

well they played up so much. I was laying down having a rest when I heard a thump sound... went to check - dd2 in room - no dd1 - look out window dd1 is on the ground!!!!!

She was not badly hurt although shook up - as I was - so when I saw she was all right - I shouted at her.... I got such a fright. I think she climbed out the window and then dropped herself down!!! It is over a 6ft drop to the ground - concrete slab!!!!! Just a little bit of grazing on one knee and dirty legs!!!

We have screens on the windows but they are slidy ones so you can get the windows open. It has been soooo hot here today that they needed to have some air circulating in their room.

Little monkeys - it has taken them 3 1/2 hours to give in and have a rest!!!! Now I am going to have to wake them in an hour or they will never go to sleep tonight!!!!

Bloody hell so glad dd2 did not follow her although I think I stopped her, as she, with her track record would have probably fallen on her head.

Now dh and I are going to have to go to the drawing board and work out the safest configuration for their beds!!

Eeek, bet your heart stopped, Eidsvold?

What an adventurer!

shit .. cn you put a bar across window so it doesn't open fully?

I know It is deemed very old fashioned but what about bars on the window. when I was small I had them on my window(thinkback then all small children had them)
so glad she was ok.

we have moved the furniture around so they can't get to the windows and are able to open 2 of the three windows in their room.

Unfortunately the types of windows and screens make bars difficult. We may be able to secure the screens somehow as another option too although in a few weeks it will be just dd2 having naps there during the week as dd1 will be back at school - thank goodness!!
