We have just had an annual review. The only people present were his teachers and ourselves but I think anyone involved in their provision (including LEA)can attend.

Before the review we received a school report and were invited to comment on it.

At the review we discussed ds3 progress and his strengths and weaknesses, we reviewed and made a new IEP. The teachers suggested what they wanted to focus on in the next school year. We agreed that he needs to remain in his current placement.
We were asked if we wanted to make chnges to his statement.

I have just received all the paperwork which needs to be signed and then the school return it to the LEA. I was amazed to find that it contained sats grades that they think he will achieve in year 2. There are papers with various tick boxes as to his needs. In our case the speech therapy report has gone AWOL.

The school said we should assume the placement will continue.

Hope that helps.

Good luck with your dds review.
