After a meeting with senco today it is clear my ds (11) needs more support / understanding he is withdrawing more from school life he is anxious and resistant to change and is not socialising at all. He is awaiting appts for ASD assessment. But dh and I are wondering if more intervention regarding his mental health is required as well. He is completely resistant to doing anything sociable outside his family, he won't join school clubs, wears ear defenders to block out the noise and chaos of his peers, he considers the teachers his allies, so if he feels rejected or in their bad books it destroys him. I am very worried about him and need help to bring him out of his shell of negativity and fear.
