its a very long story (aren't they all) but the basics are.
DS aged 10 with ASD.
30 hour statement.. Happy enough with his 1:1 at mainstream primary with a phenomenal teacher.
We have asked for a transfer to our local autism unit (which is phenomenal.. 6 in a class, massive resources and support etc) for year 6.. SATS scare the life out of my son plus his (very) supportive head teacher is leaving in July...
They came back yesterday and they won't offer year 6 because he's so settled but have agreed a transfer for year 7...
Part of me is skipping around but the other part of me is thinking 'hang on.. You know he needs it so why can't he go in September?'
Should I just be grateful?
