Advice please

My son attends a private day nursery today when I went to collect him I was told that he would be back in now till the 11 th april. Do nursery set they own term dates because now he has 2 weeks off and when he goes back my other children will be having there 2 weeks is this normal. Plus my son only does 3 hours 3 days a week and I get the normal 15 hours funding a weeks.

Funding is termtime only (39 weeks) so yes it is normal to take a break over Easter. However this is normally communicated in advance. If the nursery remains open as daycare do they offer alternative sessions as "holiday club". Your dc holiday dates sound more unusual unless you live outside UK.

They are open 51 weeks a year their is no term times on there website. I was told that it is how the funding is set but I thought it would have been the same as my older children's schools. We live in Lancashire.
