Size 7 or larger nappies?

My son has ASD and he is quite a big almost 5 year old boy. Although we have managed to get potty trained in the daytime we are still in nappies at night. Size 6+ is too tight. Where can I find bigger nappies?

Drynites are bigger - in theory fit up to a teen (though no longer fit my 9yo!)

If they don't hold enough, then Libero size 7 from tena direct should do the job - DS1 was in those until he was 6 or 7. Another one to consider is adult ones in size XS - that's what the incontinence service provided for DS2 for a while.

From my experience Libero size 7 are quite small, I found them even smaller than sainsbury's own brand pull-ups size 6 and they are soo expensive..
You can ask for a sample on tena direct's website before deciding to buy them, I'm glad I did.

Thank you! I checked the Tena website but the Libero are pull up only in size 7 which would not be very comfortable at night.

The Abri ones look good although they are a bit pricier than buying nappies but it looks like we will have to order these if there is nothing else. Thank you for the link to the other website where you bought them from Moominmamma13

The next size up from the Libero 7 is their medium sized night time nappy. It's a pull up but holds loads - some of DS2's are really heavy when he takes them off in the morning!

Handily, you can order samples from the attends website, so shouldn't need to spend a fortune and fine out something isn't suitable. I think you can do the same with Tena, too, but need to phone them up.

And now I'm panicking because DS2's have disappeared from their website! I ordered some at half tem and he'll need more in a couple of weeks!

Yes - I was quite relieved when they reappeared, this morning. I tend to order 12 or 16 packs at a time!

Check with your gp. If your chikd has a diagnosis you might be entitled to free nappies through the continence service. We are I our area of the country.

Lidl pull ups work very well for my tall 6 yr old. They never leak - and they're a good price too

Ah thank you. That is what I was thinking. We are getting on well with the Abri nappies, they are much much bigger than the 6+ so they should last a long time!

I have used tena extra small pants but not cheap at £1 each. We currently use age 8-15 dry night pyjama pants with a bambino mio pull-up pant over the top. If you find a good pull up sometimes the legs are too big but a pair of pants over the top holds it closer. My son is only three but he pees so much at night

Have you tried medication? Desmopressin works really well for DS2.

Sorry - just seen he's 5. I think that was around the age DS1 was first offered medication via the continence clinic.
