Hi, just wondered if anyone knew if there is a legal minimum age limit for travelling in a taxi unaccompanied? my local authority are saying that they want me to take a personal budget and arrange my own transport for my daughter to get to school. I have only called a couple of local companies and have already got "no's" both saying they won't carry children under 16 unaccompanied.... does anyone know - is this a legal thing?? I'm really uneasy about it all anyway as I'd want the taxi driver to have a DBS etc too.... just all seems to be an absolute minefield....
