HRM for ASD/severe LD

what kind of evidence did you have. We get currently LR mob but do need HRM. DD is 8 with severe ASD/LD. .I know I have to go down the route of mental impairment just not quiet sure how.

We tried BB but our LA doesn't give them for LD and ASD anymore. only for 'physical' difficulties. lost appeal. HRM is the only route for us now and we do really and desperatly need one.

I would have a look on the contact a family website, they have a whole section on claiming hrm for learning disabilities (asd is included in this section). You need to be on high rate care to claim under smi (severe mental impairment) rules and there are other criteria that they specify they need to meet (diagnosis of asd or severe development delay, dangerous and extreme behaviour, constant supervision, use of restraint when out and about etc etc).
