Hi.
I should've asked this when I posted the other day, but forgot.
In a nutshell...My son had his first appointment with a Community Paediatrician mid Dec in regards mine and my husband's concerns as to whether he could be on the Autistic Spectrum.
The Paediatrician was great and although we are taking a six month wait and watch approach...Should I have received a summary of the appointment in the post?
(My son's preschool just think I'm an over anxious mother I'm sure, so I thought if I had more than just my word about things, they make take my concerns more seriously and possibly 'observe' him more in the setting. Ie my son tip toe walked right across the hall floor this am at drop off and when I said to his key worker 'he does that quite a bit at home' she said she had never noticed before.)
It doesn't make me cross as I have written before that my son is very happy/smiley/flexible in routine etc (so I just think preschool don't look beyond that and think he PURELY has speech issues) but if I had paper to show that the Paediatrician was taking things seriously, preschool may observe a bit more.
ps. If you did receive a summary was it a while after. Our appointment was about a month ago.
Thank you in advance xx
