Son has asked for a dummy and nappy

Hes 8 and hes toilet trained, but he seems to think it will comfort him and also seems to think the dummy would comfort him too, i was advised by Salt to take the dummy off him 4/5 years ago and i did. However im now feeling incredibley bad about it, would you go back and do this?

I wouldn't personally.

Can you get him something else to comfort him instead - like a hot water bottle - or a comfortable hoody

I think you'd regret giving him a soother as imagine the problems trying to get it back off him
