Was serious this time, she had an asthma attack and couldnt breath,i was so worried so we took her straight up, when we got there she was burning up and shaking.

They told me she has both an ear infection and tonsilitis and that is what has been making her asthma worse.

they gave us some strong antibiotics and we felt we were finally being listened to, we have had her backwards and forwards to the see different GP,s and DH took her to A and E on saturday but at least this doctor listened.

So, she,s lay on the sofa watching endless reruns of teletubbies and tweenies!!!!

Poor her and you . Good that you've found someone to take it seriously now, though. Hope she's feeling better soon

Oh Jenk, what a rough time for you lately. I watched my dp having a bad asthma attack once and it was terrifying to say the least, can't imagine how worrying it must have been for you and your little dd

i know macwoozy, its so scary isnt it seeing someone with an asthma attack, she seems a lot better today, ive never heard of these antibiotics before that they have given us for her but they seem to be working.

Our GP always prescribes Amoxycillin and that never ever does anything and she ends up backwards and forwards between GP, hospitals, just waiting for her consultant to call us back.

DD,s consultant has just called.
He asked me to tell him everything that has happened, he asked me did A&E refer her for an xray and when i said no he sounded angry, he has told us to give her 4x movicol today and if no improvement 6 tomorrow and we can go up to 8 if necessary.

He asked me was i worried and when i said yes he said "i dont want you to worry about her, im going to sort everything i want to see her on Monday at 4pm in my clinic and we will discuss everything then, if you are worried about anything call me.

So i feel more reassured now that something will be/is being done.

Poor dd. I've had to take ds1 and ds2 to hospital with asthma attacks so know how frightening it can be.

The Paed sounds excellent.

Sorry to hear this Jenk. Both my kids are asthmatic and it is terrifying when they are taken into hospital. Fortuntely this has not happened for a couple of years (the drugs are working!!). Thinking of you
