Spent the afternoon as part of an audience for young adults to speak publicly about their lives, interests etc. These young adults also happen to have Down Syndrome. It was brilliant - they were funny, entertaining, thoughtful, interesting and just amazing.

This is a project our association has been working on and I am mentoring one or two of the young adults as part of it. The theme for this year's awareness week was 'my life, my voice' and the aim of this particular project was to give these young people a voice, prepare them to speak to groups and at events about their lives and essentially give them a voice!!

They all did so well.... It was just wonderful... felt very privileged to be a part of it.
