Had to take DD to A&E

its starting again, just like last year, the endless weeks of chest/throat/ear infections.

DH took her up to A&E this morning as she couldnt keep any fluid down and was vomitting for ages, we could hear her chest rattling.

The GP has put her back on the brown inhaler and given her Cefalaxin and simple lictus (sp?) but to no avail.

I dont know why they cant give her something that will work.

We are due to see the allergy specialist but not until Jan 07, he sorted her out last time and im going to ring his secretary on Monday and plead for an earlier appointment.

Im a worry wart, i cant help it its due to my AS and all sorts of things were running through my mind early this morning, is her repeated chest problems a sypmtom of another problem, could it be more serious, then i start to panic then i start crying and worrying even more and so it goes on, im feeling really down cos of whats going on with DS, but when DD gets ill it hits me even harder cos she,s my little friend and she already has enough health problems as it is.

Anyway, at A&E her temperature dropped, surprise surprise and she managed to keep water down and they dont want to give her any more antibiotics so they have sent her home.

Sorry to hear this jenk1, I hope she's doing ok. It truly is the worse bit of being a parent isn't it.... Hows she doing at the moment?

No advice I'm afraid, but I couldn't read it and not post. I am sorry you're going through this worry with your little girl, you obviously adore her and it is awful seeing your child ill . I hope you get the allergy appointment brought forward and I hope they find some effective treatment for her soon.

Oh no. I hope you can get a cancellation or something. Poor dd.

jenk you really are going through it at the moment.

So good they have sent her home, anyway. And as CT says, fingers crossed you get an earlier appointment with the allergy specialist.

Thinking of you.
