Can anyone recommend a weighted blanket?

I'm not able to see or make one, so have looked at spacekraft or sensory direct websites. There's quite a price difference between the two, I wondered if anyone had any experience or could advise where is best to get one from? Looking at DD's body weight of around 18kg it would only need to be 1.8kg so prob a 2kg one is the nearest I'll be able to buy. I'm hoping kg to get one I can leave on all night without fear of overheating, as she's 5 I'd assume she will just be able to push it off anyway if she got too hot.

That should say I'm not able to sew!

Thanks, good to know the sensory direct one is sturdy and well made. Good to know the advice re: not leaving them on all night. Do you think if I took it off but left it over her feet that would be OK? She gets me to hold her feet to help her get to sleep so if I could just leave it over her feet on a night I'm hoping it'll help her sleep longer as she wakes up numerous times a night for long periods. I guess it wouldn't stay in her feel all night as she would move and kick it off after a while anyway.

Yes that's a good idea. I already tuck her duvet under at the bottom to make sure it doesn't go too far up so I'll do that with the blanket too. I've emailed them as the one design she likes isn't available in the smaller blanket only the larger one - hope they can offer to do one for her as it will take her ages to accept a new blanket on her bed so I want it to be a colour/pattern she likes or I'll have no hope!

The advice is not to leave them on all night, nor unsupervised. Personally I would only use it as part of a settling down routine before bed and then take it off. I have the full COT guidelines somewhere will try and dig them out

DS has no awareness of temperature and never recognises if he is too hot or too cold.
