Hi, I'm looking for help for my friend. She wants to do a Subject Access Request for her DC. (She's not very techy so I offered to post lol)

One Request is from the previous school - I know they have 15 school days to respond but I'm unsure of much else.

Then, the other request is the School her LA have suggested for her DC - now I'm not sure if they have 15 days or if it's the standard 40 days - again, what is the best way to word this.

Any help is appreciated. She's got no one to help her and she's had issues with Parent Partnership in the past - as in them siding with LA, as opposed to actually helping her. She's really out of her mind with worry.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks polter that's really helpful. I'll have a look and print it off for her.

She'd like to see the notes/emails or any other forms of communication, as to how they decided the particular school can meet her DC's needs. She asked in an email but the LA won't answer and it appears the LA have merely told the school to take her DC, as opposed to it fitting the needs in the statement.
