What is an ASAP referral?

Have been told by school that DD2 (ASD the paed thought in April) has had an ASAP referral. I don't know what this is and I can't get hold of the paediatrician. After we (and school) filled in the SRS-2 form we suddenly got letters from audiology, OT and now school really pushing forward with things as are the council. Is this normal? I don't know what her score was as we were told this was just the next bit of the ongoing process. It it just that after a year of waiting our time has come? Confused muchly Confused

As soon as possible?

Yep I would have thought the same as Jeeves - glad something seems to be happening after your long wait.

Thank you. Was suddenly paranoid that if it was asap it suggested there was some huge problem I didn't know about and hadn't noticed. Always filled with self doubt so often worry about what I don't know!
