Other than Appleford, Shapwick and Frewen College are there other schools that might suit Year 8 DD - bright but feels stupid.
Her mainstream place is hopeless as low self-esteem, not right kind of support. She hates being taken out of lessons so looking for somewhere that is predominantly for dyslexics with reasonable academic outlook and not overly sporty or religious.
I am prepared to look anywhere in the country as would be boarding. I am going to be asking for LEA funding so am prepared for tribunal etc. Statement is about to be converted in EHC and LEA are basically waiting for us to ask for different school to be named.

I work at a school for children with specific learning difficulties, namely Dyslexia and Dyspraxia - Fairley House - however it is a London day school so may not be of any help to you?

If you want to find out more please message me or look at the website for more information www.fairleyhouse.org.uk. We also run an external assessment clinic if you are in need of an Educational Psychology assessment etc.
