I am a bit shocked, tbh! I saw the familiar brown envelope in the post and told myself it would have been refused and we'd have to appeal etc but it wasn't! It took 5.5 weeks to get a decision so it will start from when DS turns 3 in October! The award is for 2 years until he turns 5! He was awarded on the grounds that he is virtually unable to walk.

I'm just happy as I also got a carer's grant for driving lessons so hoping to lease a car on the motability scheme which will be a godsend as we rely heavily on buses atm and DS gets rather anxious and agitated by them!

Thank you to everyone who helped when I posted about this a few months ago and good luck to anyone else applying! :D Flowers

Well done, I'm getting used to using our blue badge, felt very wrong to start with. But DS true to form rolls around in the disabled bay next to the car and I remember why he needs a wider space.
