Someone help my ds 4 has never dun a poo in the loo it is always in his pants we have bought special seats books to read on the loo etc but nope he has aspergers and we know he has spd but we cannot get it through to him poo belongs in the loo he is on an adult lactulose doseage for constipation he hates praise hates rewards he doesnt want to make us happy even his beloved nanny. He has lied in the past about going and if we talk about the situation he changes the subject and switches off. Arghhhhhh

My Dd2 [who is my NT one allegedly ] pooed in her pants until 7 too, she used to get terrible consitpation and try to hold it until she no longer could.

Not funny I know but she pooed in her wetsuit once and didnt tell us until we peeled it off her on the beach!! Nice

It's getting me down he only get when he's relaxed and usually not out and about and has assured me he won't at school. We are now sitting on the toilet but usually after the horse has bolted if you get what I mean

My DS pooed on his pants - or rather leaked (unsure as he has chronic constipation). At that age he'd put his hands inside his pants to feel (because we don't think he actually knew the physical feelings) and would smear it on walls, cushions or wherever he could wipe his hands.

He is just getting use to the feeling he needs to go now - and it is now!

it was suggested to me we set aside a time each day where ds had to spend time on the toilet. Tell him it was poo time. Keep it light hearted and relaxed and get him to blow up balloons. Blowing or exhaling relaxes the sphincter muscles around the anus. DS does not do balloons so we used bubbles.
We still aren't through the worst but DS is generally able to go now without me there. I let him take his iPad into the bathroom.

rub the bottom of his feet when he is on the loo... a trick one of the NUrsery nurses used where I worked. (it worked for the child involved.)

try contacting ERIC and getting some of their pants if it would help.

we just kept pullups on until child was competant at using the loo for poos. toddler diarrhoea though made this essential.
