Just spent the evening at Blenheim Palace, to see Ds2 receive 'Student of the Year' Award for Special Ed.

To be honest it was very humbling all round (It's a very good FE college, not just Special Needs).. there were 18 yr olds there that had managed to excel in their course while homeless, battled against illness etc and seeing the college recognise not only their academic achievements but their personal resilience and determination reduced me to tears.

But my boy.. my lovely learning disabled, ASD boy... was given the award for putting 100% into everything he does, for helping everyone, for doing voluntary work and trying so hard .

I am so very proud of him!
