Does anyone have any experience of applying to their LEA for a specialist post 16 place? We started our application a year ago, and are still battling. This is partly due to a change in legislation from LDA, To EHCP, but mostly due to the delay tactics of the LEA.
We are all angry and frustrated, any advice welcome.

Hoping someone else can advice, for both our sakes.

can't give advice as seems to differ depending where you live. but just to give you hope, it took a while to be agreed but my dd did 16 plus and is now in a specialist college (out of area) for post 19

Seek advice from Maxwell Gillot! Assuming your daughter has no money other than benefits, she can apply for Legal Help - then their advice is free for her! They can write some letters to your LA to get them moving!
