Has anyone used the company "Living autism" to help get their child into a school? I have checked their website and it looks great.

I spoke to someone on the phone and they apparently look for a suitable school and help you negotiate with the LEA to get a place.

They did mention that it is free to parents as their service is funded by the schools they recommend. It sounds a bit off and I can't put my finger on why!

If anyone has any direct experience I would love to hear it.

The only experience I have had with them is in identifying suitable schools. For this they were very helpful and even made the first contact. However I would say still look around yourself at what is available as sometimes, as in our case, it wasn't an ASD specific setting that turned out to be the best fit.

Wasn't aware they negiotiate with the LEA, might investigate this myself should our LEA ever get the EHC to that stage!

I used NATSPEC website, good schools guide and Section 41 list to look at suitable placements, then spent a lot of time (and money) going to visit places.
