I know some of you will already know about it but, Just thought I would let you all know about the Family Fund it is a charity which gives money or items to families with a disabled child under 16.
In the last 6 years we have applied 3 times, last time being last Tuesday and on Monday(less than a week later) recieved a cheque for £630 and vouchers for Asda for £100. It is a fanstatic charity and can't believe how quick it was.
You have to buy items which they specify and keep receipts for a year. We got money for toys, holiday and clothing.

Hope others who don't already know about it will use it.
Unfortunetly we won't be able to use it again as the earnings amount is £23 000 and under and next year my DH salary goes above that.
You are able to apply once a year for items like driving lessons, they paid for me to learn to drive in 2002. Washing machines, tumble dryers etc anything that will help with your child.
Sorry a bit long, I don't post very often but I have a DD who's 6 and is a wheelchair user and developmentally delayed amongst other things.
