Both DD1 and DD2 have SpD. I just wanted some feedback on other peoples experiences just so that i dont feel so alone or a freak!!!!

Hi

Just to say I have a son who has chronic dyspraxia, is aspergic oh and has dyslexia as well. Oh yes and auditory and visual processing. The dyspraxia thingie is a nightmare - he cannot handwrite at all and consequently cannot spell to save his life. He has a long term memory like an elephant but ask him to remember anything useful. . .

He was in mainstream but we knew he wouldn't survive secondary so we have just won a battle to get him into a special school which teaches all the subjects and does GCSEs but to kids with severe specific LD. If you need any advice on schools - I've visited a few in the south-east area - then let me know.
