Finally, Grin DS2 has a statement that lists his mental health issues, alongside his other additional needs, and gives provision for it Wine. I can't quite believe it but wanted to share because we all spend so much time fighting their corner that to have the occasional victory feels amazing.

Well done, that is great. I hope your school works well in implementing it all. Star Was slightly disappointed when rereading your post to realise the statement didn't give provision for wine Wine Grin

Oh, they should include wine for parents, shouldn't they? I can imagine the LA's faces if that was proposed Grin. Cheers!

full time 1-1 in a small class setting, sensory diet to be delivered as and when he needs it

Its the small class setting that i don't think he will get.

A friend has just got our LA to put forward a small independent NAS school for her son. It has taken years and endless heartache and exclusions, PRU - all the usual story BUT this year .....

Let us know when it arrives.

That's great. Is the provision detailed and specified?

TheFullCircle · 09/05/2015 20:55

Oh yes. And they took out that horrible paragraph about transport and putting him in mainstream if I cannot get him to school. But the biggie is the CBT therapy. Still don't believe it - won't really, until he tells me about seeing his therapist as part of his school day.
