EHCP Advice

Ok, my son's pre school have now sent in a request for his EHCP assessment. I've received my preliminary letter. The letter states "At this stage I would very much welcome any view you and DS may have about his EHC needs".
Obviously I've been involved in the initial form filling process so our views are on the form. Has anybody else written back to them to support the form and what kind of thing could I write?
Also, yesterday the consultant confirmed DS's diagnosis as autistic, it had been "likely" before, should I write to them to inform them about this? I don't have a letter confirming this though.
It also asks for any specialist reports and evidence. Should I send all his info from his CDC assessment to his speech therapy reports and doctors letters or will they be able to get those anyway if they assess?
Sorry for all the questions!

Send in all reports as they more information they have the better informed they are when doing the assessment.
When i applied for DS's statement i sent in a letter stating how DS was at home and school, what his difficulties were, what impact his difficulties had on him and others at home and school, what had been tried (and failed) and what support i felt he needed.
Just send them as much information as you can. Don't rely on professionals to give all of the info because its amazing how often things get missed or forgotten.

Definitely put in the new diagnosis as that may make a very big difference.

Good Luck
