DD 14 has ADHD and anxiety. She struggles academically and behaviour wise been a real battle getting an understanding from school who have just decided shes choosing to inconvenience them all.
An Ed phyc from local authority has been to see her and has spent a few hours over three days with her.
I should have asked her on the phone but how long on average do they take to post reports?! I'm very curious/worried now !

Mine took around 3 weeks to come through. I received a copy first and then they sent a copy through to the school the following week, the reasoning given that the parents should have time to read & digest the information first.

Mine was linked in with an ASD diagnosis, which then gave the school the authority to access external support from the LA.

Good luck and let us know how you get on Smile

Thank you. I think she hinted at ASD after she'd met DD. DD is very literal and appears very rude as a result of saying it how it is ! However she is highly sociable .
She was lovely but put me on edge a bit as she said there are real area of concerns .

You could try phoning her her lucy and asking her to be more specific about her concerns! She shouldnt really have said that and not clarified it Hmm

She might meet with you when she has written her report and go through it with you. You could ask if she is going to get other Proffs involved to help your Dd.

Does your Dd have a statement [EHCP]? I am guessing not, if not you can apply yourself or ask the EP if she is going to recommend that the school apply for one.

Good luck Flowers

Ok thank you.I did ask her she said she had a "very unusual view of the world and perceives things very differently". She also said no comprehension.
She doesn't think DD can take responsibility for her behaviour as she sees no wrong in what she does as her perception is different to reality! So she have me a few concerns but I like concrete ;-) .
I am just really hoping she puts some good strategies in place and its gives others a better understanding of her.I am currently the neurotic mum always defending her as I feel she is so mis-understood!

I think mine took about 6 weeks or so, but the Ed Psych had already gone through all their findings with me.
