EP Recommendations/Ideas In the North

I am enquiring on behalf of a friend who has concerns about 12 year old DS. I believe an EP is the right first port of call. I don't know a lot about the boy, I have met him once, but I believe that he is very clever but struggles with social cues, imagination etc.
DH has volunteered me to advise!! All advice and opinions welcome.
