I am looking into what provision Warwickshire or Solihull area has for secondary aged children with ASD and ADHD. My DS Is currently in mainstream with full time 1 to 1 support (not in Warwickshire). Ideally I would like him to go to a mainstream secondary but with an ASD resource unit attached as I feel he needs that halfway house. He is capable academically but has some big gaps in his learning so I am not sure he would manage normal mainstream but I think a special school may be too far the other way, unless it was set up for higher functioning ASD, Is there anything like this in Warwickshire area?

MacIntyre Academies are opening a new school in Nuneaton in September called Discovery Academy.
The school caters for children aged 9 – 19 who have additional needs as a result of autism or emotional and mental health conditions.
