Just looking for recommendations of good books about autism. Particularly high functioning/aspergers, but anything that would be a good introduction.

At the early stages of diagnosis with DD3 who is about to turn 3. Would just like to read up about it all a bit.

Agree with polter Totally recommend "The complete guide to aspergers" by Tony Attwood, its a great one to dip in and out of.

Also "Aspergirls" for explaining how it is to live with the condition!

I also love Multicoloured Mayhem by Jackie Jackson for some real life sensible advice.

Although to be fair, this board has probably given me more info than any of the books I have read!

Good luck Flowers

Thanks Ineed. I am a regular reader on this message board but it was always in relation to my DD1 with GDD/chromosome disorder, so now I'll be taking a lot more notice of the ASD threads! Need to get up to speed!!
