Dd got her AR done in June 2014 when she transferred to reception. She was 4 yrs 9 months then. New school has called for an early AR in Feb 2015 that I am a bit surprised with. Can they do that as she is now above 5 and her ARs should be held once a year or since she was less than 5 yrs at the last AR....the six month rule applies????

They can request to hold an early or interim review at any time. It's usually done if there is a problem with the placement or statement so I would ask them why they are calling an early review just in case there is something they're not telling you. DS used to have an interim review every half term when he was really struggling in ms.
