Hypermobility (probable eds) and bed wetting

My oldest ds is four, and i know its too early yet to see the gp about his weeing in the night. I have HMS (awaiting confirmation of probable EDS) and he also shows many signs of it (been told it will be easier to get him a diagnosis once mine is confirmed), I wondered if anyone here had noticed a relation between hypermobility and bedwetting?

Fine in the day, been dry since his second birthday. He does have occasions where he is dry for the night, but theyre about once every three months

I'm sadly well aware of the link between it and general toilet problems cause of myself :(

My hyper mobile boy is just getting dry at night at 7. We are waiting for urenesis (sp???) clinic but he seems to be getting there without the help. Now if he could just wipe his bum, flush the loo and wash his hands....

I'm not worried, i'm perfectly content that it takes some longer than others and he seems to be one of them :) just wondered if others with hm had similar experience and whether it could be common for the hormone to kick in later in hm children.

I have heard that the bum wiping problem can go onto teen years polter.

I just need to stop asking him and start helping him more. Ds can do all this ( badly) apart from flush the loo (he can't cope with push button flushes). He also keeps the door open! If I helped him every time I'm sure I could reinforce better habits. Or maybe I'm just kidding myself. I do feel annoyed that he doesn't do it, but I do realise he finds it hard. But it's sooo annoying :0/
