My DD is in yr1 at a lovely school which are very inclusive and thoughtful and who want her there and want to give her the best education they can.
She has a 1:1 in the morning who supports her with class work and works with her on her IEP.
DD also receives SALT most weeks and the OT visits once very half term to check on progress etc.
But, DD is struggling to access the curriculum. Maths is apparently a big issue, she cannot read or write ( and is a fair way off it I would think).
She struggles to keep up in class and she is noticing that she is different.
In all honesty I can just see the gap between her peers getting bigger and bigger. She needs specialist teaching which I am not convinced school can offer (through no fault if their own).
Where does a child like my DD go? I am in east london and don't know where to look.
I know this is a long game and that realistically I am looking at year 3 to get her somewhere else and that it would most likely involve a tribunal, so I want to start looking now so I know what I am aiming for.
Thanks
