I got this one from eBay:

cgi.ebay.co.uk/A4-HOT-ROLLER-HOME-OFFICE-LAMINATOR-PEACH-PL703UK_W0QQitemZ170033450469QQihZ007QQcategoryZ25317QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Sorry, can't do links, you'll have to cut and paste it into your browser if you want to have a look.

It's dead easy but really basic.

I think they are all pretty easy - put the paper in the plastic pocket - feed it through - the laminator heats and squeezes and seals the edges.

Cost - I think I have seen them for about £15.

just been googling :

Hot vs cold lamination

Cold lamination uses rollers to secure a self adhesive pouch around a piece of paper or card. Whilst cold laminators are cheaper initially they are more expensive to run as the cold lamination pouches are considerably more expensive.

Most seem to be about £25 upwards (I thought I had seen one for less - maybe in Tesco or somewhere like that).

YES THE TESCO ONE IS USUALLY LESS THAN £15!

I even got a spare one once from there for £12!!!!

Welcome to the club jenx!

The issue I am finding with the Tesco one I have is that it only takes quite thin (less than 100 micron) pouches. It's OK if what you are laminating isn't going to get very battered, but as I have a Demon Chewer, I wish I had got a more robust machine that produces more robust output.

Jenk last year I bought one from Robert Dyas, I think it cost around £15, not sure if they are still selling them though, since then I seem to notice alot of laminators for sale, funny considering I never even knew they existed before MN

Cracks me up that Mrs F popped out on a laminator thread. Hello Mrs F

How did I guess that MrsF would be posting on a laminator thread?

I think most places that sell them seem to have at least one for under £20. The only chewer I have is dd though so ordinary pouches are okay for me. (fnarr!)
