So finally we seem to be getting somewhere (ADHD - ASD)

So after 3 years of an extremely useless Doctor at the hospital , Ds5 was referred to a psychologist who after spending an hour with Ds that he has ADHD & ASD & she couldn't understand why he had not been diagnosed years ago & also not on any medication or why we were not receiving any help at all .
He was discharged by the hospital the day before the pshychologist as apparently they were unable to offer any help

So now I have to go back to my GP to ask for a referral back to the hospital and to a different Doctor as the last one was less than useless .

In the meantime is their anything else I should/can be doing ?

Also Ds has been on Melatonin for over a year and it isn't working anymore so he is not sleeping , GP says their is nothing else he can give him , but after four days of no sleep I'm desperate , surely their must be something ?

The Psychologist can no longer diagnose as of six months ago but she would have given him this diagnosis , she has wrote to the Paed at the hospital that we will be referred to .

School has always been where he is best behaved (apart from th odd break time) , it is a very small school and he has been attending since he was 3 so he knows everyone really well etc which helps immensely .

How would I go about getting a SALT assessment ?
