Hi

Would you all be able to recommend a Speech therapist who does School visits, isn't anti-ABA, London based and looks beyond PECS for a non-verbal child?

Thanks

Don't know any speech therapists. But you can contact ICAN and ask them to give you a list of therapists--

I really recommend that you go on this site www.teachmetotalk.com-- I do often recommend this site to parents Smile but she is GOOD! I think she's a bit ABA-ish? Simply because she identifies every DETAIL to get your child to communicate. Working from imitation, verbal routines and so forth.

PeCS done right is fantastic- it's not the pec itself that matters, it's the careful therapist behaviour that goes with it- basically pure ABA

Done badly, it's just annoying bits of laminate misused by chair-warmers.
