IEPs for children with statements

Hi, just wondering how often you get an IEP from your school and how often it is reviewed? Haven't had one yet this year and only got one whole of last year. DS has a statement and attends a specialist school.

IEPs should be reviewed at least twice a year. Many schools do them termly, which is what you should have had last year.

Some schools might not be continuing with IEPs, as such under the new Code of Practice - however, they should still be setting targets and reviewing regularly, so if they choose not to use an IEP, under that name, then they should still be replacing it with other documentation that does the job.
