Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

I am so angry right now!

My son is in a lovely nursery for children with social communication difficulties. He has ASD and is non verbal. His understanding is very good, no major behavioural problems just that is his inability to communicate all his needs can make him frustrated.

I placed him there on a temporary basis until his statement comes through which he needs for our chosen special school.

The Nursery Manager spoke to me yesterday and said please don't send ds to ...... as he will be fine in Mainstream school and that special school won't stretch him enough. I was so pleased that someone thought my ds might be ok in a mainstream school as I am not sure really.

I found out today that she said the same thing to another mother and she thinks this is because there is only a few children in the nursery and if they can't fill the spaces they will have to close. Would someone really do this to make sure a space was filled?

I want to discuss this with her but I don't know what to say....

Oh my gosh. I would hate to think someone would do that.

However, you need to fight for what you believe he needs.

My dd is in special school and is stretching her enough. So that's nonsense.
