Appointments came in the post for my boys yesterday.
One we think has ADHD with possible ASD as well
Other we think has Autism.
'we' - being parents and various professionals who are involved with them (SALT,EP, OT, School)
It is good news that the appointments - 3di for us as parents and ADOS for the boys are here and only 8 weeks until they happen.
Need an end to this uncertainty - so in 8 weeks time - after these tests we'll have an answer we hope.
But I am terrified. Whatever the outcome they are my boys - but I'm not sure what I am more fearful of : That our hunches are right and they do have ADHD and Autism; or that they will do all this and say 'they're fine'
I know they are far from 'fine' - they both have such immense learning, sensory, behaviour and social difficulties. But it all feels so overwhelming waiting to be judged by a team of doctors. At least that is how it feels.
