Sensory issues and school uniform help pls

Hi,
My ds, 6 is still going through assessments, but definitely has sensory issues.
In the past he struggled with the tops so we bought him some soft seem free tshirts to wear under his school uniform which helped.
Now however he is struggling with his school trousers especially around his waist. He has to wear grey trousers and needs an elasticated waist as he is slim. At home he lives in tracksuit bottoms but clearly can not wear these for school.
I can not find anything that would be acceptable to both my ds and school. Can anyone help pls?

Tia

I cut the waistbands off standard school trousers, and sew on a soft jersey waistband instead. Ones from pairs of grown-out-of joggers/jeans/trousers (the Next trouser range is good for this). Will post a photo later when I'm home.

Those look great jacksterbear
I'm rubbish at sewing so think I'll get MIL on the case.
