We are appealing a CSP refusal. My ds currently has a place at a language unit subject to a six week assessment. The problem is the reports from this assessment don't come out until after the evidence deadline. We have had a delay as I had hoped they would come sooner but it seems school is working to 28th October deadline which is also the date the lea set up a meeting to discuss the CSP. I am not sure why they are having this meeting; it doesn't link in with the appeal (was set up before then), the CSP timescale ran out in July, but is also apparently not his review meeting. This assessment will basically trump anything I can say and the older evidence I submitted. Any ideas how to deal with this?

I am also a bit more keen to get the CSP as he may not be staying at the language unit Sad. Had a chat with his SALT who said he is basically ok apart from hypotonia (a recent diagnosis). The hypotonia makes his speech unintelligible and has delayed his expressive language. She wasn't sure if he needed intensive SALT (aka language unit). I don't understand how they can send him back to ms if his speech is still so poor. The poor mite will then have to change school barely three months after starting when everyone else has finished their induction periods and have established friends.SadAngry
