Hey, my lo has a lot of "issues" resulting in the school nurse now doing a 6 week emotional literacy thing with her,she has said if this doesn't help with her problems ( wetting, bad nightmares, anxiety) shw will refer to camhs.
She also has problems with social skills and in reception received interventions for math, writing and social. This year (yr1) so far she is in a social skills intervention every morning.
She had a difficult start to life and I've only had her for 2 years.
Does anyone know what camhs would do? Should the school be doing anything more?
A few other problems might be worth mentioning:
No stranger danger
No concentration
No conversation skills
Impulsive

Hi, I'm afraid I have no experience of CAMHS, I know they deal with things like anxiety, depression etc in young people and they might offer some therapies but as I said I have no direct experience.
I know other posters have dealt with this service so hopefully someone will come along with some good advice.
Sorry I couldn't be of any help.
