Following on from my thread about possible illegal exclusions, we had another exclusion today. Makes the third half day one this week.
Dd spent the morning running around the school and climbing up a tree. They left her alone in case that was what she wanted, and every now and then dd would go and see if anyone was paying attention to her before running off again.
The SENCO has decided that they want to try her on a part time timetable for two weeks to see if that helps, with the plan to get her back in full time after that gradually.
I am not so sure about it, I don't know if it will help, or in fact, make things worse. Dd seems keen about it, said it would be like nursery/reception children.
Three exclusions in one week is not good at all, and I think they are running out of things to try.
