ASD dd - DVD suggestions please

Our dd (4.5) ASD loves tv. Shes been interested for 6 months, very avid, pays attention. We have nightgarden, various peppa pig, Mr Tumble and some songs DVDs. Her communication is limited to facial expression and occassionally reaching for things. But she smiles and giggles at the same things she finds funny in partic episodes and has started clapping to the songs so I feel she is getting something cognitively from this shes also done a wee bit of talking/avid babbling in response.

Do you have suggestions for things she might like? She partic loves peppa and we have lots of that. Id love to branch out a bit, are there programmes ASD children tend to like or benefit from?

Likes an old cbeebies programme called bobinogs

Sarah and duck is a hit here as well

Pingu is excellent. If you want a full-length film try Wall-e - there is very little speech in the first half. Still remember ds's face when he watched it for the first time.

DS2 is 8 and still hasn't quite outgrown In The Night Garden - it's very visual and silly.

Timmy Time and Shaun the Sheep are excellent and don't rely on spoken language for the humour.

DS2 currently has a thing for Pip Ahoy! on Milkshake and also seems to love Pootle and Big and Small, on CBeebies.

He's currently grinning at the theme music to Rastamouse, but will possibly get bored in the next 30 seconds.

I know it's v popular at the moment but dd2 got bored of frozen after about a minute

Ben and Hollies little kingdom, octonauts, pingu, Sarah and duck. And peppa. They are the only things my suspected asd dd(4.4) will watch.

Sookie and Finn dvds are great for speech development, they are cartoon based and available on amazon. My 3 yr old has communication problems and autism, he really enjoys watching and learns a lot from them!

DS likes Mr bean. All the cartoons on Cbeebies ( but is slightly getting bored of it) likes all them episodes on nick junior I.e. Dory and Diego the explorer, path animals, pepos pig, Ben and Holly's kindom, paw patrol, Mickey Mouse. Basically anything on that channel. On Boonerang he watches scoobydoo, looney to ones, tom and Gerry and Mr bean. On Cartoon Network he watches Ben 10, adventure time, gumball, ed ed and eddy. On CBBc he watches some teenagers show about puppets in high school (forgot the name) and he loves Horrid Henry. On kix he likes dragon ball z and power angers, but I don't let him watch them as they are too violent.
