I finished Uni in June, was de-enrolled and am not classed as a student for benefit purposes until next Thursday, friends claim Income Support, C- the whole bundle. After I got the DLA through for Sam, I was advised to claim for CA. I ahve been refused, on the basis that I intend to re-enrol. Yes I do, but AM NOT a student atm.
I have written to query this, but does anyone know if this is correct? If it is, lots of people I know are claiming falsely!
I submitted a claim stating I was a student first, then on the advice of an advisor re-claimed without putting that. The decisions office recived the claims in the wrong order, and I have had a nasty letter saying I had been paid (not received yet) but have to give it all back.
