Been to see the community peadiactric dr today and they have discharged dd as she is also under A neurodisability consultant. Been diagnosed with developmental coordination disorder, been teted for dyslexia at school just waiting for the results and the consultant wants a full assesment as both community and consultant agree aspergers a possibility. Community pead said that I should get a statement for dd, I have o idea how I would go about doing that.

On other news dd had an MRI scan last week and her brain is complelty normal :)

www.ipsea.org.uk is a very useful website re the whole gamut of SEN. There are also model letters re applying for statements on there that you can use.

You would need to write asap to the Chief Education Officer at your Local Education Authority (the council staff will give you that person's name) and give this person six weeks to reply to that letter (mark that date on your calendar).
