OT came to visit DD and DS and assess our property on Friday.

DD, Now DD never ever climbs the stairs and preferrs to be carried or holds onto both our hands. She has hemipliegia in her left side.
So what did she do when the OT lady asked her to climb the stairs?
She set off so fast it took my breath away, the OT lady looked at me and started laughing and im saying "But she never does this" and DD is shouting "I LIKEEEE CLIMBING STAIRS"

She even climbed the ones up to the bathroom which is in a loft conversion.

DS, i could hear him screaming downstairs and im thinking what on earth is DH and him doing?

When we got downstairs with the OT lady and Paula Radcliffe-alias DD a strange sight filled our front room.

DS is rolling on the floor humming very loudly and making beatbox noises while pretending a piece of lego is an aeroplane, theres lego scattered all over the place and DH is giggling.
The OT lady sat down and observed DS with her eyes widening all the time and she asked to have a word with me in private.
In the hall she asked me did i require a potty chair for DD and DS, i said yes for DD and queired DS and she said that a lot of severly autistic children require commodes, and then it dawned on me that despite me telling her that DS is HFA she has him in her mind as severly autistic and so i was trying to explain to her that in fact he has AS and when we walked into the front room he had his legs in the air and was waving them around.
So, DD made me out to be telling fibs and DS made me look to be underestimating his autism.

She is recommending an adapted property with a downstairs toilet and a garden but asked would we take a property thats unadapted and go back on the waiting list for adaptions, i said yes as anything is better than our bathroom situation.

When she had gone i walked into the front room and DH burst into laughter, he had been feeding DS on a diet of chocolate and fizzy pop while DD was doing her Paula Radcliffe impression as he thought we wouldnt get on the list cos she was climbing stairs, when DS has chocolate or pop it only takes 5-10 mins and he is so hyperactive it is unreal.

Hopefully we will get a property, we need one superquick as DH is off work atm on sick and i dont know when he will be going back in.

I was angry at him on Friday as i thought what he did was wrong.

He said he didnt think of it in the same way and apologised.
