Dragon Naturally Speaking - any experience?

Am reposting here as I'm told there's more traffic...

I'd be massively grateful if anyone who has used Dragon Naturally Speaking with a dyslexic child could give me some tips about creating a user profile.

I'm trying to set it up for a Yr 6 boy who starts secondary school in Sept, but he is unable - even with practice - to read the text with enough accuracy for the 4 minutes initial training.

I was wondering whether we might be able to use a voice recorder to do it sentence by sentence, then play back the whole thing into the microphone? Not ideal, but it's the only thing I can think of.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Many years ago Mark College did a lot of work with BECTA [I think] into voice software. It may be worthwhile ringing the IT leader there. Alternatively www.iansyst.co.uk/ has some useful information and their staff will be happy to talk the issue through with you.
bdatech.org/ is a further excellent resource.
